Every August, Edmonton transforms. Over 11 days, hundreds of shows take over venues across the city — theatre, comedy, musicals, storytelling, and things that defy categorization. The Edmonton International Fringe Festival is the largest fringe theatre festival in North America, and it's one of my favourite events of the year.

I'm Troy Pavlek. I've been a huge fan of the Edmonton International Fringe Festival for a long time. Over the years I've seen hundreds of shows across several dozen venues. I've seen the greats, and I've seen the really, really bad.
