This one was my Best of Fringe.
Krampus knocked my socks off. The plot is bitingly funny and irreverent, and went places I didn't expect more than a few times. There's a risk doing something as trope-y as a Christmas musical that you'll end up doing something derivative. Nothing about this felt derivative.
The music is full of bops, expertly performed. The jokes land and land well. And at times it was legitimately scary.
Straight Edge Theatre knocks it out of the park again.
Eleven out of five stars.
