Edmonton Alberta's opportunity to create a car-free urban plaza downtown

After closing 102 Ave for four years to accommodate LRT construction, Edmonton's city administration is proposing to open a vehicle lane right between the new LRT, cycle lanes and sidewalk.
Next week city council will vote on whether to be bold and create a car-free multi modal plaza and thoroughfare in the heart of downtown, or to embrace mediocrity and run a car lane through it.
