Permanent daylight time is what the most Albertans want

Is making DST permanent, after we've already had a referendum, anti-democratic?

It's not clear-cut.

This change was defeated by a 0.2% margin in the referendum. But consultations by both the NDP and the UCP show that permanent daylight time is the system MOST preferred by the highest number of Albertans.

If a poorly implemented referendum with outdated context doesn't reflect the will of most Albertans, should it still be honoured?
