Four new cases of Dutch Elm Disease confirmed in Edmonton

FOUR NEW CASES.
Dutch Elm disease continues to take hold of Edmonton, with seven new cases in the past 3 weeks, half of all cases since 2024.
This will mean more proactive tree removal of struggling or declining elms. Sources are telling me this might come to Whyte Ave sooner rather than later, with up to 40 trees along Whyte as candidates for removal this summer.
